It's not for another couple moments that his arm starts shifting back into a legitimate limb rather than a blade as well. He's still wary, there's no doubt about that. ]
We didn't "toss ourselves into danger" - more like it threw itself at us. [ He says it with a small huff. Apparently irritation and exhaustion brought out the sarcasm in this one - or perhaps it was the fact that he knew he didn't have to be as formal here as he would normally. Though the sharp scent of the grave has him faltering for a moment. ]
